Care at Nests
Obviously we all love hummingbirds and would like to have more and more of them around. Therefore, if you find a female nesting, it is important to take care and try not to disturb her. If your actions are making her leave the nest or not approach the young with food, then you are jeopardizing her chance of having a successful brood. In this case, move and stay back far enough so that she will go about her normal activities without concern. Watch with binoculars from a distance; you will see lots and will not disturb her.
